The very latest in upload & approval software is proving a hit with customers at Telford based Precision Colour Printing with over 75% of their customers using the new technology.

Fujifilm Workflow XMF Remote speeds up job hand-off, review, correction and turnaround of files in the printing process. Technical Sales Support, Lyanne Price said “XMF Remote allows our customers to upload their files at any time of the day, and then automatically runs the files through XMF Workflow to check to imposition, returning a virutal copy for customer approval”.

Fujufilm Remote software is also available as a free iPad app which is also proving popular with customers enabling them to check their proofs whilst on the move. Lyanne added “the software is great for shortening turnaround times and customers love the three dimensional rendered copy of their order before final approval”.

After 30 years of providing preprint for the Express & Star, the WIFAG press crew printed its last edition in late December 2011.

To mark the special occasion, the company held a presentation on Friday 20th Jan to recognise the service of the press crew.

The three man crew saw Michael Nutt and Mick Clarke leaving PCP at the end of 2011, whilst Dave Strang transferred to the Goss Universal press in January as a Press Assistant.

The day also marked the retirement of Richard Green, Deputy MD. With a career spanning 41 years with the Claverley Group, Richard Green held managerial and director roles at both newspapers and before finally moving to Precision Colour Printing; Richard is looking forward to a retirement of golf, birdwatching and supporting Wolverhampton Wanderers!

PCP staff were on hand to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to Dave, Michael, Mick and Richard for their commitment, enthusiasm and hard work and to wish all of them the very best for the future.
